Our Mission:

Rising Roses Foundation is a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to empowering youth ages 14–24, originally focused on foster youth, now expanded to include all youth in underserved communities.

Too many underserved youth are left behind, lacking access to mentorship, career preparation, and real-world skills. At Rising Roses Foundation through SPB Business Solutions LLC, we help them build their own generator, so if the system turns off the lights, they have their own power.

Teen entrepreneurship Workshop overview

WIOA-Aligned

SPB Business Solutions offers entrepreneurship workshops that align with Work Innovation Opportunities Act (WIOA) objectives, helping youth gain the skills, confidence, and experience needed to thrive in today’s economy.

Our Teen Entrepreneurship Workshop introduces young people to entrepreneurship and equips them to turn their business ideas into reality.

Our Workforce Development Program provides hands on guidance with writing comprehensive resumes, dressing for success (interviews), mock interviews, and post interview follow up email.

We partner with all teen-focused organizations committed to youth development (WIOA-affiliated or not), including churches, charter schools, continuation schools, juvenile justice systems, and other youth community groups, ensuring we reach as many teens as possible for a prosperous future.

INSIDE THE WORKSHOP:

What’s Taught: Participants learn about the art of business formation and business structures (LLC, SP/GP, DBAs, Corporations, and nonprofits), tax obligations, asset protection, and contractual agreements, giving them a real-world foundation for launching a business.

Hands-On Activities: In this workshop, each participant will become a sole proprietor, building the foundation for real-world entrepreneurship. Activities include brainstorming business industries and names, creating a landing page or website, setting up a business email and phone number, designing a flyer for their first post, establishing social media accounts, and drafting a lightweight business plan.

Certificate of Completion: Students are awarded a Certificate of Completion recognizing their commitment to entrepreneurial learning.

Become Your Own Boss: Each participant receives a signed copy of Become Your Own Boss, a guide to entrepreneurship that reinforces the lessons learned and inspires long-term success.

Host a TEEN Entrepreneurship Workshop

In today’s fast-paced world, teens need more than academics, they need real-world skills, confidence, and a mindset for success. Our workshop empowers youth to explore entrepreneurship, whether they’re college-bound or forging their own path.

By hosting this workshop, your organization will help teens:

Discover Their Entrepreneurial Spirit: Spark leadership and creativity through hands-on business training.
Build Practical Skills: Learn how to create business plans, digital identities, and launch a sole proprietorship.

Workshop Funding

The workshop is free for youth. A hosting fee of $500 ($350 for first-time partners) covers delivery, materials, and interactive content.

Let’s be honest, schools don’t teach financial literacy, business formation and management, marketing or sales. A frustrating observation considering the time spent in public school. Boring, wasteful, which lead to the narrative that young people are lazy or unwilling to work. That’s false. They do want to work! They've simply opted out of the outdated system we were brainwashed to accept. Today’s youth are wired differently. With social media, they’ve watched creators, coders, and entrepreneurs from every corner of the globe transform their lives, and they want in! The mission is clear: Reform, Rebuild, and Rise!
